Nitish takes on PM Modi on DNA remark via radio

New DelhiHighlighting the achievements of eminent personalities from Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday fired a fresh salvo at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his DNA remark and described him as a ‘jumla babu’.

“From Bihar’s DNA, did Aryabhata spread the core of mathematics across the world. From Bihar’s DNA, did Rajendra Prasad become the first president of an independent India. From Bihar’s DNA, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar became a national legionary poet. How will you know the value of this Bihar’s DNA ‘jumla babu’? Bihar’s DNA has decided not to fall for your tricks and to support Nitish,” the Janata Dal (United) said in the radio advertisement.

Prime Minister Modi, while attacking Nitish Kumar at a rally in Muzaffarpur on July 25, had said that it seemed that there was “some problem with Nitish Kumar’s DNA”, referring to his constant change of political allegiance. Nitish later described the DNA remark as an “insult” to people of Bihar. (ANI)
