Nitish ‘living in his own self created virtual world’: BJP

New Delhi, Aug 9 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday hit back at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he calls the latter’s dispensation as ‘Union Twitter Government’ but uses Twitter to communicate his thoughts.

“I can only laugh because I think this is the biggest joke and Mr. Nitish Kumar has himself made out to be. To convey that we are a party of Twitterati and Facebook users, he had to communicate through Twitter. So, who is using Twitter to communicate? I think he needs to have a bigger understanding of how the media operates,” BJP’s Meenakshi Lekhi told ANI.

“I guess ignorance is bliss as far as Nitish Kumar is concerned. He is still grasping with the reality, he is living in his own self created virtual world which is away from reality. And I think social media is a reality,” she added.

The Bihar Chief Minister had earlier taunted Prime Minister Modi, saying his dispensation can be truly called a ‘Union Twitter Government’ that listens, acts and responds only on the social networking site.

“Modiji even though you didn’t answer my ques, ws heartening to see you open speech at Muzaffarpur taking cognizance of my tweets,” said Nitish, who also re-posted his tweets asking for a response from the Prime Minister to the various questions he had posed before his earlier rally in Muzaffarpur.

“Finally we’ve a Govt that could be truly called a ” Union Twitter Government” that listens, acts, and responds only on twitter,” he added. (ANI)
