Nitish lampoons Rudy’s ignorance

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday lampooned BJP leader and Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy for tweeting a screenshot of Pakistani newspaper the Dawn’s website carrying Nitish Kumar’s ad appealing for voters.

Taking a jibe at the BJP, Nitish tweeted, “Leaders and ministers of a government who talks about Digital India are panicking due to imminent defeat in Bihar and calling Google-Ad an advertisement by the Dawn.”

“Modi ji should tell his leaders about basics of the digital world. Sundar Pichai (Google CEO) can help him in this,” he said in another tweet.

Nitish also posted a screenshot of Dawn website in which BJP’s advertisement seeking votes during 2014 Lok Sabha elections appeared on the top, and tweeted: “People giving laughable statement should have a look at Google-Ads of Modiji during 2014 elections.”

Rudy had earlier tweeted, “Nitish advertises in PAKISTAN daily “DAWN” e-edition to woo voters in Bihar. Why Pak ? Whom does he want to reach.”

Rudy had drawn a flak for ignorance about Google-Ads, which serves ads on any site based on the reader’s locations and browsing habits.

Rudy has since removed the tweet from his handle.
