New Delhi, Aug. 19, : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday reiterated his demand for the Centre to give special status to Bihar and full statehood to Delhi.

“Give special status to Bihar and full statehood to Delhi,” said Kumar at a Bihar Samman Samaroh organised by the Delhi Government.

“After getting rejection by the people in Delhi, they are trying very hard in Bihar,” said Nitish Kumar launching a veiled attack on Prime Minister Modi for his rallies in Bihar.

Complementing people of Delhi for electing Aam Aadmi Party’s government Kumar said, “You have voted for the AAP party and Arvind Kejriwal, you took an absolutely correct step.”

He later thanked Arvind Kejriwal for inviting him at ‘ Bihar Samman Samaroh’.

The event was being organized by the Delhi government in an attempt to help Kumar connect with the Delhi-based voter base, especially those originally from his home state.

Kejriwal and 11 AAP leaders with roots in Bihar have organized the event in New Delhi on Wednesday to felicitate Nitish and pledge their support to him for the elections. The two leaders will also work out a schedule for joint public meetings. (ANI)
