NIMS treats B.Tech girl with Aplastic Anaemia

Haematology Department of Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) successfully treated a 19-year-old engineering student, Rizwana Begum, daughter of an auto-rickshaw driver, suffering from Aplastic Anaemia.

The girl has now completely recovered from the disease. Aplastic Anaemia (AA) is a rare disorder wherein the body stops producing enough blood cells.

Rizwana Begum is the eldest of her 5 siblings. She is studying in engineering 3rd year in a private engineering college. Last year she got high fever and complained of loss of appetite. Later she started bleeding from mouth. The disorder was diagnosed after thorough check up. She has been completely cured after one month’s treatment.
