Mumbai, Sep 03: Thursday’s session in the market started off strongly recovering weakness in previous three consecutive sessions.
Sensex rallied 161.13 points above at a level of 25,614.69.
Nifty, on the other hand, climbed 56.85 points trailing at 7,773.85.
Cement sectors on looked a strong rally with Ambuja cement, Heidelberg cement and others giving a strong pull back to the market.
On the other hand, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, JK Tyre, Infosys and HDFC are one of the leading contributors to that traded in green.
The Indian rupee opened lower by 6 paise at 66.25 against dollar today in comparison to the previous day’s closing of 66.19.
