Job Description:
A minimum of two years direct, substantive knowledge and experience with the design, installation, maintenance, and rules development for a Netcool system.
Experience with OMNIbus and OMNIbus core sub-products (gateways and probes).
Experience with IBM Tivoli Network Manager (ITNM), Netcool Impact and IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM)
Proficiency with Operating Systems such as UNIX (Solaris, Linux, AIX etc.) and Windows.
Proficiency with various scripting and coding methods such as PERL/CGI, Shell/Batch, XML, SQL.
Knowledge of application dependency mapping and business service management desirable.
Analyze and research options for interfaces with exiting external systems.
Participate in architectural planning for service management and service assurance.
Have an understanding and hands-on experience with software maintenance (i.e., patching, version control, upgrades…etc.) to ensure deployed Tivoli based solutions remain current and operational.
Will be directly involved with solution testing, debugging, and refinements to produce the required end-product.
Capable of preparing program-level, user-level documentation on an as-needed-basis.
Provide and receive technical direction as required to ensure program deadlines are met.
Experience working with and understanding of Enterprise Management systems and processes is desired.
