Naxal attack: Sonia condemns killing of BSF jawans

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday condemned the Maoist ambush on the Border Security Force (BSF) party today where three jawans were killed, and extended her condolences to the family members of the martyred jawans.

Sonia reiterated that such cowardly acts of violence could not be justified in any way.

She also expressed the hope that concerned authorities will work expeditiously to bring the guilty to book.

Three BSF jawans were killed and six were injured earlier today after a Maoist ambush on a BSF party near Sukma-Malkangiri border in Chitrakonda, Odisha.

According to reports, the BSF party was securing an under-construction bridge when they were attacked by the Maoists. (ANI)
