Senior IAS officer Naveen Mittal today took charge as Commissioner of Telangana Information & Public Relations Department at head office at Masab Tank here. Naveen Mittal was elevated as Information Commissioner in the reshuffle of IAS officers on Saturday night. Mittal was earlier a Special Commissioner at GHMC.
Speaking on the occasion, Naveen Mittal said he would make efforts to strengthen the department after going through functioning and activities of all wings, including Publicity Cell. He called upon the officials and staff of the department to coordinate among themselves to give wide publicity to the government programs. “The flagship development programs and welfare schemes of the State government should reach the needy and people as a whole”, Mittal said. He also asked the staff to give him public feedback on time to improve functioning of the department.
