Naidu slams Oppn for creating hurdles

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said the Centre was extending full support and cooperation to the residuary State.

The Chief Minister was speaking after laying foundation for a new air terminal at Gannavaram airport near Vijayawada in Krishna district. Naidu said the air passenger traffic has increased after announcement that Vijayawada would be temporary capital of Andhra Pradesh.

Alleging that the Opposition was creating hurdles in the way of development of the State, Chandrababu said the Congress and YSRCP parties do not like development of Andhra Pradesh. The farmers have come forward to part with their lands 33,000 acres for building up of new capital city, he said, adding that with the help of the Centre, works Polavaram project would be completed by 2018, the Chief Minister said.
