Naidu slams Congress for dividing AP unscientifically

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today accused the previous Congress-led UPA Government of having done great injustice to Andhra Pradesh by bifurcating then united State improperly and unscientifically.

When the Opposition YSRCP sought a debate on special status to AP demand, Naidu replied through a statement that the then UPA Government irrationally divided the State causing huge loss to Andhra Pradesh. Jagan also demanded that the TDP ministers pull out of the NDA government in protest as the Centre was not according special status to the residuary State.

Annoyed over Jagan’s demand, Chandrababu Naidu said being an MP Jagan had failed to prevent the AP Reorganization Bill when Parliament was passing it. The YSRCP members opposed Naidu’s comments and created bedlam in the House. Chandrababu also reiterated that his government was not backtracking on the special status demand. Jagan also slammed the Speaker for talking the words that are ought to be made by the Chief Minister.

Minister for Finance and Legislative Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Labour Minister Acchan Naidu and Chief Whip K Srinivasulu made vain bid to pacify the Opposition leader, who took on the treasury benches despite cutting mike for a while. Jagan also ridiculed the Speaker for adopting a piquant management policy of denying mike to him. (NSS)
