Naidu promoted political corruption: Talasani

Hyderabad: Taking serious exception to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister for claiming that his political career of more than 30 years was clean and no scars of corruption, Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav slammed the former for encouraging political corruption.

Addressing the media at Secretariat after a review meeting on land and building policy for second time here on Tuesday, the minister accused Chandrababu Naidu of promoting political corruption in a big way. Naidu, he alleged, introducing money factor in politics to lure and attract the leaders for his selfish ends. He expressed surprise over Chandrababu for not beginning work on Amaravathi, the new capital city even after 14 months of State bifurcation.

The minister ridiculed Chandrababu for his clean image remarks that sans any corruption despite charges by political parties. Srinivas Yadav criticized Naidu for stating that they have right to stay for 10 years in Hyderabad being a joint capital, he suggested the former to shift focus on new capital. Though Chandrababu claims to have constructed Hitech city Hyderabad was already a noted destination for other nations.

Referring to review meeting held earlier with Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahamood Ali, Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy and officials of GHMC and HMDA, he said that new building and land policy will come into force to demolish the illegal structures on tanks and other areas in twin cities. While poor people will get help of housing facility, demolition of illegal structures will go on besides regularization he stated. (NSS)
