Naidu lauds Kodela for developing Narasaraopeta

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today appreciated Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao for taking an initiative to celebrate centenary of Narasaraopet.

Speaking at the function, Naidu said the Narasaraopet Municipality was established in 1915. He said Kodela was relentlessly working for the development of Narasaraopet. It was Kodela, who was instrumental in construction of 11,500 toilets in his constituency under Swachch Bharat program, he said, adding that the government would develop Narasaraopet further. Stating that Amaravati would be proud of Telugu people, the Chief Minister said it was for the first time in the history of the country that 33,000-acre land was acquired for development of a new capital city.

Participating in Narasaraopet Municipal Sangam centenary function in Guntur district, the Apollo Hospital chairman Pratap C Reddy said the Chief Minister has a determination and he will get any work done if he thinks and decides to do it. He said the Chief Minister would ensure all-round development of the State. He also said the Chief Minister was striving to develop the new capital city Amaravathi into a top capital. GMR chief Granthi Mallikarjuna lauded the efforts of the Chief Minister in the development of the State. (NSS)
