Naidu asks TTDP leaders to strive for BJP nominee’s win in Warangal

TDP president and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today held a meeting with his leaders of Telangana on the issue of by-election for Warangal parliamentary constituency.

The Telangana TDP leaders reportedly expressed their inclination to contest the election. Telangana leaders, including Errabelli Dayakar Rao went to Vijayawada and met Naidu. They informed him that if party candidate contested the election, it will help strengthen the party. However, the TDP president convinced them stating that the seat was allotted to BJP earlier and it should be contested by the BJP.

Chandrababu Naidu asked them to work hard for winning of BJP-TDP combined candidate. However, the BJP is yet to announce name of party candidate for Warangal by-election. The meeting also reportedly discussed party affairs, including the issue of Rajya Sabha member Gundu Sudharani, reported arguments between Errabelli and Revanth Reddy. Both leaders reported to have closeted with the party president separately. (NSS)
