Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu today announced two State committees for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States, besides a Central Committee and a Polit Buro. Significantly, the Telangana State Committee consists of as many as 96 members, while the Andhra Pradesh Committee has 70 Member.
At a media conference at Vijayawada this morning, Naidu has also announced the elevation of his son and TDP Workers’ Welfare Fund convener Nara Lokesh as party’s general secretary (Organisation) and as an ex-officio Polit Bureau member.
The highest policy making body, the Polit Bureau comprises of seven members from Telangana State and 10 members, including Naidu, from Andhra Pradesh. AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Union Civil Aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, AP Deputy Chief Ministers Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa and K. E. Krishna Murthy; Nandamuri Harikrishna, Kalava Srinivasulu, T. Devender Goud, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Ramesh Rathod, Uma Madhava Reddy, Motkupalli Narsimhlu, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Chintakayala Ayyanapatrudu, Pratibha Bharati and Nama Nageswara Rao are the Polit Bureau members.
The Ex Officio Politburo Members are: Nara Lokesh, General Secretary (Organization), YS Chowdary, Parliamentary Party leader, K Kala Venkata Rao, A P State President and L Ramana, Telangana State President.
The 20-member Central Committee, including Chandrababu, Party President, consists of four vice presidents, three general secretaries, treasurer, five official spokespersons, programmes committee convener, disciplinary committee convener and others. The Vice Presidents are: P Ramulu, Garikipati Mohan Rao, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and DK Satya Prabha.
The General Secretaries are: Nara Lokesh, Revuri Prakash Reddy and Konkala Narayana Rao. Sidda Raghava Rao is the Treasurer.
Telangana State Committee
The Telangana State Committee consists of L. Ramana (president) A. Revanth Reddy (working president), eight vice presidents (Mandava Venkateswara Rao, G Sayanna, Eleti Annapurnamma, Vangala Swamy Goud, Syed Yousuf Alo, Chada Suresh Reddy, Krishna Yadav, and Arikepudi Gandhi), five general secretaries (Kothakota Dayakar Reddy, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Dhansari Anasuya, KP Vivek Goud and Bollam Malliah Yadav), six official spokespersons, a treasurer Prem Kumar Jain), a media committee convener (M A Salam), A Media Committee Member (Prakash Reddy), 34 organising secretaries, and 37 secretaries, Naidu said.
The TDP chief announced that Kimidi Kala Venkat Rao would function as president of AP TDP. J. R. Pushparaj, N. P. Venkateswara Chowdary, Karanam Balaram Krishnamurhty, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, Metla Satyanarayana are vice presidents; G. Butchaiah Chowdary, Varla Ramaiah, Reddy Subramanyam, Nimmala Rama Naidu and B V Jayanageswar Reddy would function as general secretaries. B C Janardhan Reddy will be State Treasurer and A V Ramana Office Secretary. Seven Official spokespersons, 30 organising Secretaries and 20 State Secretaries were also appointed. (NSS)
