President of Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee and former Minister, Mr. D. Nagender is likely to join TRS very soon. Mr. KCR had entrusted the responsibility to persuade Nagender to Commercial Tax Minister, Mr. T. Srinivas Yadav. Mr. Yadav met Mr. Nagender at various places and persuaded him to join TRS. Earlier the news of Nagender joining TRS were making rounds. Congress leaders reacted immediately and had persuaded him not to leave Congress. Of late, TRS leaders including Mr. T. Srinivas Yadav and Mr. T. Padma Rao were in contact with Mr. Nagender. These ministers successfully persuaded Mr. Nagender to join TRS.
It is understood that they were making attempts to bring him to TRS fold keeping in mind the ensuing GHMC elections under “Operation Aakarsh”. However, the supporters of Mr. Nagender ruled out the news of Mr. Nagender joining TRS.
