Nagam slams govt for failing to utilize 50% of budget allocations

BJP leader and former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy here on Friday lashed out at the TRS government for its incompetence to utilize budgetary funds. He also demanded that the government disclose what it has done with the remaining Rs 25,000 crore.

Speaking to mediapersons, the BJP leader also charged the TRS government with trying to woo the people by laying foundation stones for double bed-room houses hurriedly keeping the ensuing GHMC elections in view. He also demanded an explanation from the ruling party as to why they were using TRS symbol “Car” in the government hoardings. Questioning the government as to why it announced waiver of water and property tax arrears on the eve of elections, Nagam asked whether it was not a corrupt practice. (NSS)
