“My Hijaab is my Right”

By Naheed Mustafa

As now I am grown up,
Now the things are messed up,
I feel so cautious,
Why everyone looking at me so curious,

When I go out of my home with the present culture,
All look at me as they are the Vulture,
I have my beautiful curly hairs,
But I cover them with all spheres,

As now I am grown up
Now the things are messed up
I do not wear the things forcefully,
I too have my own identity,
I do observe pardah happily,
and its not a liability,

As now I am grown up,
Now the things are messed up,

I do attend all the public meets,
Where all look at me with the widened creed,
Because I wear a cover on my head,
They laugh at me as I m looking so bad,

As now I m grown up,
Now the things are messed up,

What to say with the thousand tear,
Let me allow what I have to wear,
Don’t play with my beauty as I am not a commodity,

As now I am grown up,
Now the things are messed up,

I have a strong believe in my creator,
That my half life will accept me as it is without any fear,
Because its all his beauty and I have to return him with all my sincerity,

As now I am grown up
Now the things are messed up

My lord makes me so high,
I am princess in my own eye,
No one can make me inferior,
Because I am very thankful to my creator,

As now I am grown up
Now the things are messed up

Let me allow to fly in Islamic colors,
I know the truth of life of 60 years,
We all are in a journey ,
And one day we all will reach to our destiny,

As now i am grown up,
Now the things are messed up

My lord “Allah” say to me only my husband can acknowledge my beauty,
Sometimes I do cry for all satires,
But I constantly fight for my attires,
As now I am grown up,Now nothing is messed up,now nothing is messed up.
