The lunch diplomacy aimed at better coordination between officials of Minority Welfare Department proved dear to the people. Offices of the Minority Welfare Department were sans officers for hours thanks to the luncheon hosted by Managing Director Minority Finance Corporation for high officials of the department. As a result people who had arrived to solve their problems faced disappointment. High officials were not available for listening to public complaints in minority institutions present in Secretariat, Directorate and Hajj House till 4 pm. They returned to work after 4 pm till then many complainants had returned disappointed.
It must be noted that the department has decided to arrange luncheon on frequent intervals for better coordination between officials of the department. It would have been better if the officers arranged dinner instead of lunch so that they could be available for hearing public complaints during the officer hours.
