Minority Welfare Department has issued guidelines for ‘owner-cum-driver’ scheme under which 1000 poor minority families would be provided auto-rickshaws. Director Minority Welfare is taking measures to provide online submission of application facility on the website of Centre for Good Governance.
According to the guidelines issued by Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel the State Government would provide 50% subsidy for purchase of autos, remaining 50% will be the loan component.
Candidate should be the resident of Telangana, must belong to minority community, should possess 3 wheeler driving license and should not own auto-rickshaw. Candidates must be aged between 21 to 55 years while their income should be below 2 lakh annually.
