exh

Hyderabad: Mr. Amjadullah Khan Khalid, former corporator of Azampura Municipal Division and a senior leader of MBT threatened that Muslims would  boycott the inaugural function of All India Industrial Exhibition if it starts with the singing of Vandematram. He told that after to a Fatwa issued by Darul Uloom Devband, recitation of Vandematram by the Muslims is prohibited. He further told that he viewed the video film of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of the Exhibition held last year in which Muslim Ministers and other personalities was shown as reciting Vandematram. If a Muslim recites Vandematram, it becomes obligation for him to renew his faith and Nikah.

He further told that it seems that Exhibition Society is going into the hands of Sangh Parivar. Earlier, Exhibition used to be inaugurated in a secular manner but now it has been stained with communal color.

He pointed out that it is a fact that Exhibition was started by the Muslim graduates in 1938. HEH the Nizam of Hyderabad, Nawab Meer Osman Ali Khan had provided 30 acres of land for Exhibition Society. During the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations held last year, the name of Nizam was not mentioned. In making publicity also Nizam’s photo was not made use of. Exhibition Society runs 18 educational institutions. None of these institutions has the name of the Muslim founders of exhibition like Nawab Meer Ahmed Ali Khan, Mr. Meer Akbar Ali Khan, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Wahab, Mr. Mahmood Ali, Mr. Mohammed Farooq, Mr. Jagirdar, Mr. Mohammed Abdur Raheem and Mr. Mohammed Ali Khan.

Mr. Amjadullah Khan Khalid impressed upon Mr. KCR to instruct the honorary president of the Exhibition, Mr. E. Rajinder (Finance Minister) and Secretary not to recite Vandematram in the inaugural function of Exhibition. Telangana Culture could not be revived unless the culture of the Nizam’s period is followed. Mr. Amjadullah Khan also wrote a letter to the Secretary of Exhibition Society to start the inaugural function of the exhibition with National Anthem and not with Vandematram.
