Muslim man stripped, beaten for accompanying Hindu colleague in Mangaluru

In another case of moral policing, a Muslim man was stripped, tied to an electric pole after he was spotted accompanying a Hindu female co-worker in Mangaluru.

The 29-year-old store manager was with his Hindu colleague when he was attacked by the assaulters.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, the man told cops that the girl was in need of Rs 2000 as loan and he was going with her to a nearby ATM, when a group of men attacked him. They also reportedly questioned and humilated the woman when she tried to intervene.

The group took photos of the man tied to the electric pole and then shared it on social media. The victim has been hospitalised as he has sustained serious injuries.
