President Telangana Pradesh Congress Uttam Kumar Reddy expressed ignorance regarding the remark of Congress spokesman G Niranjan over merger day. During an informal talk with press persons when he was asked regarding the statement made by party spokesman, he expressed his lack of knowledge. He called General Secretary Telangana Pradesh Congress and office incharge Kumar Rao and enquired regarding G Niranjan’s press conference. Mr Kumar confirmed G Niranjan’s press conference on which Uttam Kumar Reddy asked the reason behind holding a press conference without bringing to his knowledge.
Meanwhile expressing resentment over the statement, Muslim Congress leaders claimed that while the Congress party was trying to bring Muslims closer, people like Niranjan are distancing Muslims from Congress by hurting their sentiments.
