Hyderabad : Chairman designate of Congress Minorities Cell for Telangana, Mr. Khaja Fakhruddin will take charge today at Gandhi Bhavan. He reiterated that he would work for the welfare of Minorities and would bring them closer to Congress Party.
As a first step, he called on Mr. Ismailur Rab Ansari at 11 p.m. at his residence and offered him a shawl in recognition of his services for the cause of Urdu. Mr. Ansari congratulated him on his nomination as Chairman of Minorities Cell of Congress Party and told that if Govt. continues to do injustice and deviate from the promises it has made, Minorities workers of Congress party will not keep quiet. He questioned the Govt. of Telangana that why 12% reservation has not been given to the Muslims so far. When will the illegal possessions on wakf properties be removed and when will the appointments be made on vacant posts of Urdu teachers?
Mr. Khaja Fakhruddin will take charge of his new assignment at 11:30 a.m. today at Gandhi Bhavan. Mr. Azam Ali, Mr. Masood Ali and Mr. Shujat Ali requested the Congress workers to attend the function in large numbers.
