MP: Man gets Aadhar card made for his dog, held

Bhind (Madhya Pradesh): Bending the rules proved costly for a man from Madhya Pradesh, who was arrested after he made an Aadhar card for his dog in the state’s Bhind district.

Mohammad Azam Khan, who works in the Aadhar card office, got the Aadhar card made for his dog, Tuffy.

Khan claims that he took the step because he was “mentally disturbed”.

“I was mentally disturbed because of my family since the past three months. I clicked a photograph of my dog, his name is Tuffy,” said the 35-year-old.

The police said that a local resident, Akhilesh Singh Yadav, filed a complaint saying the local Aadhar centre had issued a card to a dog.

“Akhilesh Singh Yadav is the person who filed the complaint. He informed us that Azam Khan has made an Aadhar card for his dog with fake documents. The name of the dog on the Aadhar card is Tuffy and the father’s name is Moti. Azam Khan has accepted the crime,” said Raghvendra Tomar, Thana in-charge, Umaria. (ANI)
