More Saudi women suffer from depression than men

Jeddah: A Saudi Psychologist said that depression is more common in female than man. The ratio of depression in Saudi female to male is 2:1.

 

Zakaria Ibrahim Al-Madeh, a Psychologist said that depression is basically a mood disorder where patients experience sense of grief and sadness and loss in their desire. He also said that depression can be addressed with medication treatment and behavioral therapy.

 

He claimed that nearly 50% patients of depression suffer from sexual problems. He added that depressed patients think life is not worth of living and death is better than life. He also added that some may even tends to commit suicide.
