More farmers dying in KCR’s home district: TPCC

TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged that the TRS government has atrociously suspended Congress members from the Assembly when they raised farmers’ suicides in the House.

Participating in the Rythu Bharosa Yatra organized by the TPCC in Toopran mandal of Medak district on Tuesday along with TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, former Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha, Uttam Kumar Reddy lashed out at the TRS government saying that farmers’ were committing suicides more in Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s home district Medak. He demanded that the Telangana government extend Rs 6 lakh ex gratia to all the bereaved families of farmers, who had committed suicides. He alleged that the Chief Minister had failed to instill confidence among the farmers. The farmers’ suicides will come to an end only when the State government implemented loan waiver at one go.

On the occasion, the Congress leaders consoled the family of Venkatesh, who had committed suicide recently at Ismanpur village and extended Rs 1 lakh assistance on behalf of the Congress party. (NSS)
