Modi Govt has given a strong message to Pak: BJP

Jammu, Aug 23: BJP today said a strong message has gone to Pakistan that the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre will not allow terrorism and its supporters to find space in the country.

Referring to the cancellation of NSA-level talks, Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief spokesman Sunil Sethi said, “With the tough stand on NSA-level talks taken by the Narendra Modi-led NDA government, a clear message has now gone to Pakistan and the world community that the present government in New Delhi will not allow terrorism and its supporters to grow.”

Sethi said the Centre’s tough stand has also made it clear that separatists cannot be given undue importance and that they should remain within their limits.

“Indian government wanted to discuss terrorism with Pakistan but unfortunately our neighbor, as in the past, preferred to invite separatist leaders with a motive of making them relevant… But this time it did not happen,” he said.

“With each passing day, the separatists are losing their relevance and moreover they do not have any representative character,” he said.

Both Pakistan and separatists should now understand that it is the BJP-led government at the Centre, which knows what to talk, how to talk and with whom to talk, Sethi said.
