New Delhi: The Mizoram government has announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh each for anyone giving information leading to the arrest of five militants of Manipur-based Hmar People’s Convention (Democrats) involved in the ambush of members of a state assembly committee on March 28.

An official statement said that three policemen were killed in the ambush of the team of the state legislature’s committee.

State Home Minister R. Lalzirliana said there could never be peace negotiations with the Hmar People’s Convention (Democrats) unless the latter returned all the weapons snatched from the policemen in the March 28 ambush. (ANI)
