MIM opposes demolition of Osmania Hospital

The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen has opposed the demolition of Osmania General Hospital building and said it is a heritage not only for Hyderabad, but of the entire country.

Addressing media person’s at party headquarters, Darussalam, MIM president and Hyderabad MP Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi said, ”We are against demolition of building. We want it’s restoration. They are many heritage buildings in city which need to be protected.”

Citing examples, Asaduddin Owaisi said Qutub Shahi Tombs were more than four-century old and they are being restored now. “Osmania hospital complex has a lot of land. About seven acres of vacant land can be used for the construction of building to house in-patients,” he said.

Asaduddin Owaisi demanded that the TRS Government drop its plans to demolish the century-old heritage building of OGH and take up its restoration. (INN)
