Microsoft’s Cortana Beta can now replace Google Now on Android devices

Washington D C Aug. 11 : Microsoft has released an update of the beta version of its Cortana digital assistant for Android.

According to the Engadget, the users can now activate Cortana instead of Google Now by pressing and holding the home button.

Microsoft released a private beta version of its Cortana digital assistant for Android last month but until now the users could only use it as a standalone app

The update version still does not include ‘Hey Cortana’ support because of hardware limitations for third-party Android apps that prevent Cortana from always listening for the command.

The feature is only available on beta to Microsoft Insiders, so the users will not find it on Google Play. (ANI)
