MEET asks to rein in communal elements in universities

Movement for Education and Telangana (MEET) slammed the rising communalism in the country and demanded to rein in communal elements in the educational institutions especially universities. MEET office bearers Syed Aliuddin Ahmed Asad and Syed Hameeduddin Ahmed Mahmood declared the move of miscreants targeting secular ruler of Mysore, Tipu Sultan then demanding ban on shooting of film based on the life of ex-Indian Cricket team captain Mohammed Azharuddin, as provocative. It stressed the need to rein in communal elements in the universities and stop political activities or programmes based on communalism in educational institutions as they have negative impact on educational activities.
