McEnroe hopes Kyrgios learns from `bonehead moves` at US Open

London, Sep.2 : Former tennis player John McEnroe has lashed out at controversial Aussie player Nick Kyrgios, saying he hopes the player has learnt from his `bonehead` moves following his first-round defeat to Andy Murray in the US Open.

McEnroe labelled the 20-year-old as `vaudeville entertainer` and added that he better step up to stop being remembered as a clown.

The original tennis super brat lauded Kyrgios for his skills, but warned him to capitalise on his unbelievable opportunities before time slips away, the Guardian reports.

Earlier, Murray defeated Kyrgios 7-5, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the US Open at Flushing Meadows in New York.
