MBT leaders protested against sale of Tasleema Nasreen’s book Lajja and demanded to book case against Nava Telangana publishers. After learning that the Nava Telangana publishers had put copies of the controversial book on sale at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram in Bagh Lingampally, MBT leaders reached the spot and held a protest at an Exhibition put up by Teachers Federation at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, Bagh Lingampally, Hyderabad.
MBT leaders raised slogans against book stall owners and Tasleema Nasreen. Later police detained all leaders and book stall owners and took the copies of Tasleema Nasreen’s book under their custody. ACP Narsaiah assured the delegation to book case against the book stall owners and publication house after investigations.
Meanwhile MBT leaders Messrs Altaf Naseeb Khan, Dr. Samad and others lodged a written complaint against Nava Telangana publishers.
