‘Matured’ Paswan should be CM face for Bihar: Shatrughan Sinha

Hyderabad, Aug. 23 : Asserting that the people of Bihar have every right to know as to who would be their leader in the upcoming assembly polls, actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha on Sunday said it was his personal opinion that an acceptable, respectable, senior and matured leader Ram Vilas Paswan should be the chief ministerial candidate.

“I think that Mr. Ram Vilas Paswan is a very capable and a very qualified person that’s why I have spoken about him,” he told ANI here.

Sinha reiterated that he is against the crimalinalization of politics and politicization of criminals.

“Having said so I would also like to tell you that a couple of years ago I had stooped campaigning in Bihar for some time because I was inspired by my friend, philosopher, guide, guru and ultimate leader Mr. Lal Krishna Advani and he had said at the Chennai national executive meet that criminals shouldn’t be encouraged in politics, they should be shun and crimalinalisation of politics and politicisation of criminals must be avoided. I firmly believe in that and that is why I have tweeted,” he said.

Talking about his praise for Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar, Sinha said the former always treats him like his elder brother and added that he reciprocate his feelings and affection by affection and love and regard for him.

“As far as Nitish Kumar is concerned, I would say that I am greatly touched by his gesture not only he has just decided to rename the Government College of health and physical education as B.P. Sinha College of Health And Physical Education on the name of my late and great father, who was the founding principal of this college,” said Sinha.

“So, it was a well deserving demand in the party for many years; even our people in the party they wanted it. This matter had been pending… But now this time, I feel very touched and hounored that Nitish babu has done it,” he added. (ANI)
