Market opens in red, Nifty broods weak global signs

Mumbai, Sept 04 : The Indian market opened in the red today facing troubles with the global market cues. Nifty trailed at 7750 with a weakness of 72 points.

Sensex, on the other hand, trailed at 25542, witnessing a dip of around 222 points.

Globally, the US market closed narrowly mixed as investors await the non-farm payrolls report for august.

Asian markets too traded with negative in early trade even as China’s stock market remained closed for a second day.

The gainers list included midcaps like Cipla, Infosys, Lupin, Wipro and ONGC, while M&M, Axis Bank, Vedanta, Dr Reddy’s Lab and Tata Steel were among the major laggards.
