Several students were injured when a sand-laden lorry dashed against a school bus at TKR Kaman under Meerpet police limits on Monday.
According to police, a bus of Brilliant Grammar School, carrying several students, was taking a turn towards the Ring Road when a speeding sand-laden lorry hit the bus. Due to its impact, the school bus overturned resulting in simple injuries to several students and the bus driver. The passers by rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Kamineni Hospital.
The Meerpet police have registered a case and investigating.
Three injured as auto overturns
In another road accident, three persons were injured when an autorickshaw overturned at Karmanghat under Saroornagar police station limits this morning. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.
Two cars collide head-on
In yet another mishap, four persons, including a CCS police sub-inspector Janakiram, were injured grievously when two cars collided head-on on the road between Rajendranagar and Andhra Pradesh Police Academy. (NSS)
