The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University will assume his office next week. According to reliable sources Prof. Aslam Parvez has expressed thanks to the central government for his appointment. He told that he is fixing his priorities by consulting academicians so that the performance of the university could be improved.
Teaching, non teaching staff and representatives of Officers’ Association protesting for the past 6 days congratulated Dr. Aslam Parvez and enlightened him about the current situation in the university. The Vice Chancellor appealed protesting staff and students to withdraw protest and start academic activities.
Meanwhile following the protest by students and staff, incharge Vice Chancellor has transferred Proctor and Chief Warden and they were replaced by other persons.
