Manikonda land allotted for Sikh Gurudwara

Waqf Board has tried to make clarification regarding allotment of Dargah Husain Shah Vali Waqf land located in Manikonda to Sikh Gurudwara Sahibji of South India. After the orders by Deputy Collector Rajendra Nagar were revealed, government is not in a position to give clarification about the allotment. Interestingly it has not been proved that Manikonda land is Waqf land till date, as government has claimed its ownership Supreme Court.

Keeping in view the restlessness among minorities after issuance of notification regarding allotment of 3 acre land to Sikh Gurudwara instead of giving clarification through Revenue Department the government has pushed forward Waqf Board despite the fact the Waqf Board has nothing to do with the matter.

At a time when the Manikonda land case is in the SC, clarification by Waqf Board seems ridiculous. It is said that it has been decided to allot 3 acre land to Sikh Gurudwara from the land allotted to Hyderabad Central University. In the clarification the interim orders of Supreme Court referred by the Waqf Board are regarding Lanco Hills while the land in question is allotted to Hyderabad Central University. Thus clarification by Waqf board is a vain attempt to save revenue department.
