Man Utd fans’ call to ‘attack’ against West Ham confused Van Gaal

Johannesburg: Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has said that the fans are still happy with him and his club despite admitting that he didn’t understand their plea of more attacking football during his side goalless draw against West Ham in Premier League.

The 64-year-old, who came under severe criticism for his boring and defensive style of football, believes that the fans are shouting `attack, attack` because his side were more dominating during the match,Sport24 reported.

The Dutchman, however, admitted that his side’s failure to score goals led to their fall, which is why they are now three points behind top-placed Leicester City in Premier League table.

Meanwhile in the Champions League, United are behind Wolfsburg in Group B with one game remaining, and now have to defeat leaders Wolfsburg in their final match next month to secure their spot in the knockout stages.

Expressing his views on the same, Van Gaal said he is not much worried about his team, but insisted his side have to perform well to overcome the situation.(ANI)
