Man succumbs to injuries in murder case

A 63-year-old man, who was beaten up allegedly by the relatives of his daughter-in-law, succumbed to injuries at a hospital.

According to Nacharam police, the deceased, M. Pandu, a retired employee, was allegedly beaten up by seven persons on June 20 at his residence in Annapurna Colony of Mallapur. He was first admitted to a private hospital at Kachiguda and then shifted to ESI Hospital where he died on Sunday night.

Pandu’s son Sairam was married to one Vijaya Lakshmi. However, following some disputes Lakshmi had filed a dowry harassment complaint against him on May 30, 2013. On June 20, Lakhsmi’s relatives Ravinder, Sriramu, Vinay, Saikumar, Sharada, Chandrakala and Rajashekar came to Pandu’s house and allegedly beat him up causing multiple injuries.

Police have registered a case of murder against all the seven accused persons. (INN)
