Man held for wife’s murder

The Shamshabad Rural police on Monday arrested a 35-year-old man on the charges of murdering his wife.

The accused, Sabavath Mohan, allegedly killed his wife Sharada (30) at their residence in Peddashapur on August 6. He reportedly came in inebriated condition and hit her on the head with a stick while she was fast asleep. He was reportedly angry as she did not cook for him. Sharada had sustained a grievous injury and died at the Osmania General Hospital on August 8.

Mohan was produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody, according to Inspector Uma Maheshwar Rao. (INN)
