Hyderabad: Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily told that the younger generation is aware of the personality of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who was a freedom fighter and a noted interpreter of Quran. He devoted all his life for Islam and the security of the country. Whenever the historian would write about him, he would certainly write that he was a Muslim leader of good character, a conscientious nationalist, Journalist and a freedom fighter. He adopted Journalism in his young age. He excelled in the field of Journalism for which he is remembered even today.
He was addressing a gathering of Students and Youths at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Oriental Research Institute, Public Garden organized in connection with Maulana Azad’s birthday by Telangana Urdu Forum and Mazher Educational Society. Mr. Ismail ur Rab Ansari, President of the Association Presided over the meeting. He said that Maulana Azad was a good auditor. He suffered a lot in prisons in connection with freedom struggle.
The audience of the meeting strongly demanded the Government to ensure 12% reservation for Muslims through which Muslims would get more jobs, scholarships and other facilities. Mr. Mohammed Masood Ali, Convener of Maulana Azad Day welcomed the guests.
