Lawsuit filed against Azam Khan for calling Modi “top ten criminals of the world”.

Lucknow: A complaint has been lodged against cabinet minister Mohammad Azam Khan in a Kanpur court for saying PM, Narendra Modi as  one of the “top ten criminals of the world”.

Ram Sewak Shukla, a retired executive engineer of the Jal Nigam, gave his statement on Friday to city magistrate (II). Saying that Azam Khan has insulted PM on constitutional posts. It had hurt the sentiments of the people on calling  Modi a criminal.

Shukla came up with an evidence of newspaper cuttings before the court in which the Uttar Pradesh minister was quoted as saying in Faizabad on July 22 that the prime minister was a world class criminal.

Shukla said he had passed the legal notice to the minister seeking apology for his comments through his lawyer Kripa Shanker Tandon, but the minister did not respond.

The next  hearing would be on  November 17.
