SR Nagar Police arrested a B.Tech student on Friday on the charges repeated theft. Rahul, resident of Madhura Nagar, student of final year B.Tech was habituated to lavish lifestyle.
On learning that his neighbours had always kept the house key inside the shoe stand whenever they went out, Rahul used to open the doors and commit theft.
He was said to have stolen 30 tolas gold ornaments from the house in December last year and he again stole gold ornaments weighing 15 tolas in the last week of October this year.
While examining the scene of the offence, police noticed the suspicious movements of Rahul and took him into custody and during the interrogation, he confessed the crime. As much as 45 tolas gold was recovered.
