Lata Mangeshkar remembers Dev Anand on 92nd birth anniversary

Mumbai: Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar has paid tribute to evergreen actor Dev Anand on his 92nd birth anniversary.

The 85-year-old singer took to Twitter to remember the “Jewel Thief” star, who died on December 3, 2011 in London after suffering a cardiac arrest.

“Today is the birth anniversary of everyone’s favourite Dev Anand. He was a great human being and was always very humble with everyone. I pay my respect to his memories,” she tweeted.

Mangeshkar, who crooned many of the hit tracks of films starring Dev Anand, also shared a link of song “Gata Rahe Mera Dil” from one of his most appreciated performance in a film- “Guide”.

Dadasaheb Phalke Award recipient Dev Anand was popular for his evergreen roles.

“Kala Pani”, “Prem Pujari”, “Guide”, “Paying Guest”, “CID” and “Tere Ghar Ke Samne” are some of his most celebrated films.
