Lanco Hills flats sale advertisement to be challenged in Supreme Court

Hyderabad: It has been decided to approach Supreme Court against the advertisement published by Lanco Hills for the sale of its flats. Secretary of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare, Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS issued instructions to CEO of Wakf Board to file an appeal in Supreme Court challenging the advertisement published by Lanco Hills for the sale of flats. By doing so, the management of Lanco Hills violated Supreme Court order.

It may be noted that the case of ownership of Lanco Hills property is in Supreme Court. Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel told that this property is a Wakf land. Wakf Board filed a case in Supreme Court to get back this property. It has engaged eminent lawyers. Wakf Board has clear documents to claim the ownership of this wakf property. The claim of Lanco Hills that they have purchased this property from the Govt. is baseless. He further told that Wakf Board would pursue the case in Supreme Court. If need be more senior lawyers would be engaged.

It may be noted that Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel is also holding the charge of Competent Authority of Wakf Board. CEO of Wakf Board, Mr. Mohammed Asadullah told that after consulting the lawyers, an appeal would be filed in Supreme Court on Monday.

It may be mentioned that Supreme Court in its interim orders had bound Lanco Hills to mention in the sale deeds of this property that the case of its ownership is pending with Supreme Court and the sale proceeds would be subject to the judgment of the Supreme Court but Lanco Hills did not mention this case in their advertisement.
