KTR to submit Grama Jyohti Report

A Cabinet Sub-Committee today met at Secretariat here to prepare guidelines for implementation of “Grama Jyothi” – another flagship program of Telangana Government.

Committee chief and Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao chaired the meeting attended by members including Finance Minister E Rajender, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Roads and Buildings Minister T Nageshwar Rao and Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna and top officials of various departments. The sub committee meeting assumes significance in the wake of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao sought a report in week days. The sub committee which met for first time discussed on issues related to Grama Jyothi, to be implemented by considering every village a unit for developmental works. KTR is likely to submit a report to the government soon.

They discussed on the guidelines needed for the program which is aimed at all-round development of all villages in Telangana districts. KTR is learnt to have shared his views and ideas for allocation and use of funds to a myriad variety of works related to drinking water, health, education, electricity, sanitation, roads and other facilities in villages which need an immediate facelift.
