KTR condemns opposition parties’ criticism on farmers’ issue

Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Saturday stated that the State Government does not have Alladin’s Lamp to clear farmers’ loan and resolve their problems overnight.

He was speaking after unveiling the pylon on Water Grid in Singarajupally of Atmakur mandal of Warangal district. He strongly condemned the opposition parties for their criticism on the TRS Government over the issue of farmers. He said opposition parties have no agenda and they have joined hands only to defame the TRS Government.

KTR said that the present crop loan dues were not accumulated during TRS rule, but the previous Congress and TDP regimes. He alleged that the farmers were committing suicides due to the wrong policies of 42 year Congress rule and 17 year TDP rule in the then united Andhra Pradesh. He said that the TRS Government was implementing several welfare schemes and it enhanced pensions from Rs. 200/- to Rs. 1,000/- While the previous Congress Government spent just Rs. 800 crore on 29 lakh pensions, the present TRS Government was spending Rs. 4,500 crore on 36 lakh pensions.

KTR said that the TRS Government would showcase its achievements during the election campaign for Warangal by-elections. He also challenged Congress Government to present its achievements during the last 60 years. (INN)
