KFC outlet in Pondicherry attacked

On Thursday afternoon, the only Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) outlet in Pondicherry was attacked by three people. According to a report in The Hindu, three people have also been arrested for the attack.

Deena Dayalan (32), Magesh (38) and Karunamoorthy (32) broke a window pane using a chair from the outlet on MG Road. They then threw fish on the counter and damaged equipment in the outlet as well, the report said.

The three men also threw eggs at the store and left a note condemning the United States’ pro-Sri Lanka stand at the UN. According to the report, the notice demanded that American companies leave India.

The manager at the KFC who was present during the attack has filed a police complaint. Police are looking at the CCTV footage and investigating the incident.
